Joy in the Chaos

Life doesn’t always go how we planned. It’s easy to get stuck thinking about what’s not working, the delays, the struggles, the “why me?” moments, the wishes for something different.
But in focusing on what’s missing, we often forget what’s still here.
The simple things we overlook are actually powerful: being able to breathe, to see, to speak, to move freely. Having people who care about you. Even the small, everyday things we rarely think about—these are blessings someone else may be praying for.
Joy isn’t about having a perfect life. It’s about recognizing that even in the middle of challenges, not everything is broken.
What if instead of only asking, “Why is this happening?” you also asked, “What is still good in my life right now?”
It might be small. It might feel insignificant. But it matters.
Sometimes joy is not loud or obvious. Sometimes it’s simply the quiet awareness that you’re still here, still standing, and still have something to be grateful for.
And sometimes, that’s enough.
